Vice President of Iran Recognizes the Armenian Genocide

baghei Turkish public is alarmed at Iranian Vice President’s statement. Leading media outlets labeled official’s words as shocking and noted that Iran “stabbed Turkey in the back”.

"A hundred years ago the Ottoman Government committed genocide against a certain number of Armenians. Although the Ottoman Government does not exist now, Armenians demand official apologies and restitution from Turkey," Hamid Baghaei, Vice President and Head of Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization, stated at the conference “Iran: victory bridge”.

The conference was held on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of conquest of Iran by allies during World War II.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu told the journalists that he had talked to his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki and demanded explanations. “Iranian FM told me that Tehran’s position on the issue remains unchanged, while Vice President’s speech referred to World War I and had nothing in common with publications in press,” Davutoglu said.

In response to a journalist’s remark that Mottaki’s words do not dispel doubts, Turkish FM noted that he had requested Iranian Foreign Minister to issue an official statement.

Օգոստոսի 27-ին ՀՀ ՊՆ վարչական համալիրում տեղի ունեցավ ՊՆ կոլեգիայի հերթական նիստը: Նիստի ընթացքում քննարկվեցին Զինված ուժերի կառավարման համակարգի արդյունավետության բարձրացմանը, կապի և ավտոմատ կառավարման համակարգերի խնդիրներին և դրանց լուծման ուղիներին առնչվող հարցեր:

Զորքերի կառավարման համակարգի, շտաբների պատրաստության, մարտական հերթապահության արդյունավետ կազմակերպման, կապի ստորաբաժանումներում առկա իրավիճակի, կապի ժամանակակից միջոցների սպասարկման, ռադիոկայանների շահագործման և այլ խնդիրների շուրջ զեկույցներով և առաջարկություններով հանդես եկան ՀՀ ԶՈՒ ԳՇ վարչությունների պետեր, զորամիավորումների շտաբների և կապի ծառայությունների պետեր: Բարձրացված խնդիրների շուրջ իր նկատառումները և առաջարկությունները հայտնեց ՀՀ ԶՈՒ ԳՇ պետ, գեներալ-գնդապետ Յու. Խաչատուրովը:

Կոլեգիայի նիստի աշխատանքներն ամփոփեց ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Ս. Օհանյանը: ՀՀ ԶՈՒ համապատասխան կառույցների և ստորաբաժանումների ղեկավարներին տրվեցին հանձնարարականներ սահմանված ժամկետներում զորքերի կառավարման համակարգն առավել արդյունավետ դարձնելու, կադրային ճիշտ աշխատանք կազմակերպելու ուղղությամբ: ՀՀ ԶՈւ հրամանատարական կազմին հրահանգվեց միջոցներ ձեռնարկել՝ անձնակազմի մարտական ոգին ամրապնդելու համար:

Starbird praised Beers for her work as Deputy City Manager. “Yasmin has been an excellent Deputy City Manager,” says Starbird. “Her experience and knowledge of the organization are a big plus. And, she is well respected by her peers.” Starbird noted that Beers has extensive experience with City-wide budget oversight, personnel and employee relations, and general City-wide operations. Beers has served 10 years as Deputy City Manager. She has been with the City for over 22 years and previously served as a Senior Administrative Analyst for the Glendale Public Library. Prior to serving as a Senior Administrative Analyst, Beers was a Senior Customer Service Representative for the Library Division. Beers has a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Woodbury University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Cal State University Northridge. She is a member of the California Public Employers Labor Relations Association (CALPERLA). Beers has also served as President of Soroptimist International of Glendale, as a Board Member of the Glendale Chapter of the American Red Cross and on the Advisory Board on the Glendale Chapter of the Salvation Army. The Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian receives the Ambassador of Sweden Hans Gunnar Adén

sweden_august_2010_meeting On August 23, the Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Hans Gunnar Adén, the Ambassador of Sweden on the occasion of completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia.

Edward Nalbandian, commending the cooperation established between the two countries, expressed gratitude to Ambassador Adén for his personal contribution to the development of the Armenian-Swedish relations.

Highly appreciating the dynamically developing bilateral relations, as well as the cooperation within the framework of international organizations, the sides attached importance to the development of bilateral economic ties between Armenia and Sweden.

The Minister and the Ambassador exchanged views on the Armenia-European Union cooperation.

On the Ambassador’s request, they touched upon the process of settlement of the Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) issue, as well as discussed other regional issues.

By the end of the meeting Minister Nalbandian awarded Hans Gunnar Adén with the MFA medal as a symbol of Adén’s contribution to the strengthening of the Armenian-Swedish relations.

The Visit of the Chief of the Land GS of Greece to Armenia

2010-08-25-a On 23-25 August the delegation headed by chief of the Land GS of Greece, lieutenant-general Frangos Frangulis was in Armenia on a business trip.

On the 24th of August chief of the RA AF GS, colonel-general Yuri Khachaturov received the members of the delegation. During the meeting the chief of the RA AF GS briefly introduced the RA AF structure, the reforms in process and the military-political situation in the region. Talking about the bilateral cooperation, the chief of the RA AF GS stated that Greece is one of Armenia’s strategic partners, and that the military and military-political ties of the two countries are on a high level.

2010-08-25-b At the meeting the Greek side expressed its readiness to continue its assistance in broadening the RA peacekeeping capabilities and assuring the technical saturation of the staff.

On the same day the delegation headed by chief of the Land GS of Greece, lieutenant-general Frangos Frangulis was received by RA Minister of Defence Seyran Ohanyan. The charge d’affaires of Greece to the RA and the military attaché of the embassy were also present at the meeting. During the conversation, highly appreciating the military and military-political cooperation between Greece and Armenia, Seyran Ohanyan underlined the cooperation of the two countries in the fields of education, military-medicine, intelligence and peacekeeping.

Greece is one of Armenia’s most important partners in its Euro-integration policy, and in this regard the development of the cooperation in military-political, security, as well as economic, cultural, etc. fields is of a strategic importance to Armenia. Besides, the relations with Greece are important for Armenia also in the frames of NATO cooperation.

2010-08-25-c Seyran Ohanyan welcomed the fact that the cooperation between the two countries, which started in 1993, has taken a path of continual broadening. He mentioned that especially in the recent years the military cooperation of the two countries has covered such elements, which are applicable for such armed forces that have wide capacities for cooperation.

The delegation headed by chief of the Land GS of Greece, lieutenant-general Frangos Frangulis visited the center of teaching Greek in the RA MoD 2010-08-25-e Department of Staff and Military Education. There they observed the educational program and the level of technical saturation of the center.

In the frames of the visit the Greek delegation also visited the RA MoD brigade of special importance, where a number of tricks related to the actions of the special importance forces were demonstrated.

During the visit to Yerevan the members of the delegation headed by chief of the Land GS of Greece, lieutenant-general Frangos Frangulis visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial, respecting the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

arm_lawyer Հայկական բանակն այսօր թաղված է կոռուպցիայի մեջ, դարձել է «քրեական տարր», այնտեղ գործում են գողական օրենքներ, կան «զոն նայողներ»։ Այս մասին Tert.am-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց Հելսինկյան ասոցիացիայի նախագահ, իրավապաշտպան Միքայել Դանիելյանը՝ անդրադառնալով Հայկական բանակում գրանցված հերթական սպանությանը։

Հիշեցնենք, որ ՀՀ ՊՆ N զորամասի մարտական հենակետում օգոստոսի 17-ին նույն զորամասի պայմանագրային զինծառայող, կրտսեր սերժանտ, 1984թ. ծնված Հարություն Յուրիկի Վարդանյանը հրազենային երկու կրակոց է արձակել նույն զորամասի պայմանագրային զինծառայող, կրտսեր սերժանտ, 1966թ. ծնված Արսեն Երվանդի Չոբանյանի կրծքավանդակի շրջանին: Ստացած մարմնական վնասվածքներից Ա. Չոբայանը տեղում մահացել է:

Ըստ իրավապաշտպանի՝ պաշտպանության նախարարին փոխելով՝ հարցը չի լուծվի, բանակում արմատական փոփոխություններ են պետք։ «Քրեական տարրերը, որոնց թվում են նաև հրամանատարներ, պետք է փոխվեն»,- ընդգծեց նա։

Դանիելյանի խոսքով` «Բանակում գողական տարրերն ստեղծվել են հենց երկրի ղեկավարության կողմից, քանի որ այդպիսի բանակին իշխելն ավելի հեշտ է։ Երկրի իշխանությանը պետք է այդպիսի բանակ, որ անհրաժեշտության դեպքում բանակին նաև քաղաքացիական հասարակության դեմ հանեն»։

Իրավապաշտպանը հոռետեսորեն է տրամադրված՝ նշելով, որ առաջիկայում բանակում դրական փոփոխություններ չեն սպասվում։
