I am Cemil Sorgun, a current exchange student at CalArts. I am originally from Berlin, but my parents are from Gürün in Turkey, formerly Gurin. Recently, I discovered that my great-grandmother was very likely an Armenian orphan. This revelation has led me to initiate a film project, conducting research to connect with individuals whose families have ties to Gurin and may have stories to share.
I would be very happy if you know anyone who might have relatives with a history of Gürün.

I am 21 years old. I am from an industrial city in the south-east of Ukraine, Zaporozhye. All the time since the beginning of the war, this city is being destroyed, and the situation is getting worse…
I’m looking for a sponsor in the USA under the u4u program. I would be very grateful if you help me come. I have friends here with whom I can stay until I get comfortable, but unfortunately they cannot help me with the documents. Therefore, I am looking for a person who can help me with this. And someone who will become a new friend whom I can turn to for advice and support in the USA.
I am very grateful to the American people for already helping many Ukrainians through the U4U program.
But unfortunately, the bloody war continues, beautiful cities are being destroyed, ordinary people are dying.
